Nicholas is an actor in the West Michigan area, who is taking a brief hiatus from getting his theater major due to severve and crippling student loan debt.  He has trained with teachers from Hollywood, New York, and London and has recently been offered his first paid acting role.  With all of this stage training, Nicholas somehow thinks himself well suited to be a writer.  In his spare time he writes plays and short stories for magazines, he runs an improv group that produces the internet show, "Archer & Jenkins: PI" currently on Youtube, and to pay the bills he works at a local movie theater.  He knits Harry Potter themed scarves, is obcessed with pop culture trivia, and often wonders why he is still single.

He is currently 22 years old and resides with his mother.

Don Kowalewski (creative malcontent) developed his love of prose at the age of 5 when he first wrote the letter 'B' which very closely resembled the printed letter 'B' shown in his Kindergarten learning guide.  In the coming years he would master dozens of letters and eventually form them into words, sometimes 4 and 5 letters in length.  His first works included the original Tales of Tom Turkey     which he wrote and read to his 2nd grade class each week to the tune of moderate and muted interest.  His ' Sportscast' sketch stole the show at the 6th grade talent show, and his Star-Wars-action-figure recreation of Jack London's Call of the Wild  in 11thgrade was still talk of the town as recently as his 2001 Class Reunion, 10 years after he graduated.  Since his humble beginnings, Don has gone onto write dozens of motivational speeches, wedding toasts, and eulogies, DJd at Michigan State University's legendary Impact FM, he's written for Second City Detroit, performed stand-up comedy, written jokes for fellow stand-up comedians, played with improv troup The Improvaccino Machine, and is currently looking for someone to buy his book, his movie scripts, or produce his reality TV show concept.  And when his spare time isn't allowing for his constant pursuit of super stardom as a writer for spunkybean or otherwise, he happily resides in Southeast Michigan with his beautiful and ever-supportive wife, Kathy, his three kids ages 4, 3, and 1, and he busies himself selling radio advertising so as to feed their hungry and wanton mouths.

Often referred to as “The Kevin McDonald of spunkybean”, EJ Feddes started writing about pop culture for his college newspaper with a series of poorly-received and largely unread articles.  After writing two unpublished novels, one of which was represented by a literary agent who is now serving a life sentence in a Canadian prison for faking her own death, he disappeared into the business world.  On a whim, he started blogging, creating “A Nickel for the Swear Jar”.  In 2007, his blog was quoted in the Los Angeles Times, a fact that still does not help him impress women.

Recently, EJ realized that he reviews more television shows than most people actually watch.  He can not decide if that makes him sad or proud.  His greatest accomplishment to this point is selling a copy of Showcase 22, the first appearance of Green Lantern, to James Earl Jones.  Even a casual observer can extrapolate the entirety of EJ’s life from that single fact.

Ben Cossar (Founder/Jackass-of-All-Trades)  Ben entered the world of media with the false assumption that a degree in Telecommunications from Michigan State would somehow magically lead to a career in filmmaking.  His dreams collapsed under the weight of his own hubris and lack of self-motivation, but he regrouped in time to land a low-paying government job as a graphic designer for the local public library system.  A short 13 years later, he realized what a complete retard he'd been, both for wanting a career in filmmaking in the first place and for staying at a crappy job for 13 years.  So he quit his job and co-founded Hook Communications, LLC, eventually coming up with the idea for spunkybean.com as a way for he and his friends to avoid real work.  His old dreams are survived by his wife, son, dog and three cats.  He also loves puppies.  And small bits of string.
